About Luke



Academic Excellence
Luke graduates from Bellarmine College Preparatory with a GPA of 3.45. His academic journey includes AP courses in Environmental Science, Psychology, World History, and US History. Luke has also pursued specialized courses in Data Science, Probability and Statistics, and Film Composition.

Award-Winning Scholar
Luke is a two-time Grand Prize winner in the Greene Scholars Program Science Fair (2022, 2023), conducting research on glucose content in processed foods and RF wave emissions from devices. His academic achievements have been recognized with multiple scholarships including the Clifford Sessions Memorial Scholarship, Rosie Mae Masters Scholarship, Bryson Young Memorial Scholarship, and San Jose Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. scholarship.

Exceptional Athlete
As a competitive épée fencer at Academy of Fencing Masters, Luke has achieved national recognition. He is a two-time Junior Olympian (2023, 2024), earned multiple regional medals, and qualified for National Championships from 2018-2024. Luke served as team captain in 2023, achieved a ranking of 9th in the Far West region (2022-2023), and ranked 170th nationally at the Junior level (2023-2024). His academic and athletic excellence earned him USA Fencing All-Academic First Team and USA Fencing All-American First Team honors in both 2023 and 2024.

Luke has enriched his education through prestigious international programs:

Leadership
Luke has demonstrated leadership as Vice-President, Treasurer, and Historian for the Teen Group of the San Jose Chapter of Jack and Jill of America. He's an active member of Bellarmine's Black Student Union, re-founded and serves as President of the Bellarmine Poker Club, contributes as a reporter for the Bellarmine Online Newspaper, and writes his The Parry Ri-Post Blog.

Service to Community
Luke has given back to his community through various service initiatives, including environmental conservation with Our City Forest, tutoring elementary students in core subjects, assisting senior citizens at Bellarmine's Walk with the Excluded Event, supporting the Hunger at Home Gala Fundraiser, and creating gift bags for teens in need through AAUW Gifts for Teens.

Luke plans to double major in Finance/Economics and International Relations in college, with aspirations toward careers in financial analysis or diplomacy.
